honeyDue helps you organize home maintenance — tasks, contractors, warranties, and documents across the residences you care for. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
honeyDue ("honeyDue," "we," "us") provides the honeyDue mobile and web application. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].
Information we collect
| Category | Examples | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Account information | Email address, name, and a securely hashed password (or a token from Sign in with Apple / Google) | Create and secure your account; sign you in |
| Content you create | Residences and addresses, tasks, contractors and their contact details, documents, warranties, photos, and notes you add | Provide the core features you use the app for |
| Usage & diagnostics | App interactions, feature usage, device type and OS version, and crash/performance data | Understand what's used, fix bugs, and improve the app |
| Device & notifications | Push notification token | Send reminders and notifications you enable |
We do not knowingly collect precise location, and honeyDue does not use your data for third‑party advertising or ad tracking.
How we use your information
- Operate, maintain, and provide the app's features to you.
- Authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- Send reminders and service notifications you've enabled.
- Diagnose problems, prevent abuse, and improve performance and features.
- Communicate with you about your account or important changes.
How your information is shared
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run honeyDue, under agreements that limit their use to providing those services:
- Identity & sign‑in — Ory Kratos (self‑hosted) for account and authentication; Apple and Google if you choose their sign‑in.
- Product analytics — PostHog, for usage and diagnostics.
- File storage — Backblaze B2, for documents and photos you upload.
- Push notifications — Apple Push Notification service (and Google, on Android).
- Sharing you initiate — if you share a residence, the people you invite can see that residence and its tasks.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.
Payments
honeyDue is currently free, and there are no in‑app purchases or subscriptions active. If we introduce paid features in the future, purchases will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms, and we will not receive your full payment card details.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app; deleting your account removes your profile and cascades the deletion of your associated content (residences, tasks, contractors, documents, and photos). You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected]. Backups and logs may retain information for a limited period before they expire.
Your rights & choices
- Access & portability — view and export your data from the app.
- Correction — edit your account and content at any time.
- Deletion — delete your account and content, as described above.
- Notifications — turn push notifications on or off in your device settings.
Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict certain processing and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. To exercise any of these, contact [email protected].
Security
We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and authenticated media access. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
International transfers
honeyDue is operated on servers located in Europe. If you use the app from another region, your information may be processed in a country with different data‑protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure it remains protected consistent with this policy.
Children's privacy
honeyDue is intended for a general audience (rated 4+) and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
